Orpheum Theatre (Market Street)

The Orpheum Theatre at 1192 Market Street opened in 1926 as a vaudeville and movie palace and retains much of its historic interior ornamentation. Today it operates as a major downtown performance venue for touring Broadway productions, concerts, and special events and is managed as part of BroadwaySF. The theatre has undergone renovations to modernize backstage and audience facilities while preserving its historic auditorium.
