Bartram's Garden - historic botanic garden

Bartram's Garden was established by botanist John Bartram in 1728 and is recognized as the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America. The site includes the Bartram House, original plantings and later landscape features, and operates as a public garden and historic site. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a long-standing cultural and ecological landmark in Southwest Philadelphia.
