Appalachian Wireless Arena

The Appalachian Wireless Arena, located in Pikeville, Kentucky, is a vibrant multi-purpose venue that opened in October 2005. With a seating capacity of 7,000 for concerts and 5,700 for sporting events, it serves as a hub for local entertainment and community gatherings. The arena features a spacious 26,000 square feet facility, including a 24,000 square foot arena floor and additional meeting spaces. Notably, it was formerly known as the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center until 2019 when it was renamed after Appalachian Wireless acquired the naming rights. The arena has hosted significant events, including a charity basketball game by the Kentucky Wildcats that raised over $160,000 for flood relief in 2022.
