NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (Mission Control)

The Manned Spacecraft Center was established in Houston in 1961 and later renamed the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in 1973. The center houses Mission Control (Building 30), which directed Apollo missions from Houston, including the Apollo 11 lunar landing operations on July 20, 1969. Johnson Space Center remains a primary U.S. human spaceflight operations and research hub.
