Parkland Memorial Hospital - major public hospital and historic trauma center

Parkland Memorial Hospital is the largest public hospital in Dallas and serves as the primary teaching hospital for UT Southwestern Medical Center. On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was transported to Parkland after he was shot; he was pronounced dead there. Parkland operates a Level I trauma center and a wide range of specialized medical services for the city and region.
