Spirit of Detroit statue

The Spirit of Detroit is a bronze statue sculpted by Marshall Fredericks and installed in 1958. It stands in front of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center and has become a widely recognized symbol of the city. The statue is often used in civic ceremonies and during major local sports and cultural celebrations.
