Patterson Homestead

The Patterson Homestead, located at 1815 Brown Street in Dayton, Ohio, is a historic house museum built in 1816 by Colonel Robert Patterson, a veteran of the American Revolutionary War. Showcasing Federal architecture, the house has been expanded over forty years and features six rooms filled with period artifacts and original items from the Patterson family. Notably, Robert Patterson's grandsons, John Henry and Frank Jefferson Patterson, grew up here and later founded the National Cash Register Company in 1884. The homestead was donated to the city in 1953 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976, currently operated by Dayton History, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
