Bishop Duppa's Almshouses, Richmond

Bishop Duppa's Almshouses are a historic site located in Richmond, London, founded in 1661 by Brian Duppa, Bishop of Winchester, to provide housing for ten unmarried women over the age of 50. Originally situated on Richmond Hill, the almshouses were rebuilt in 1851 in a Jacobean style after falling into disrepair. The site features a blend of historical architecture, including elements from the original structure, and is now managed by The Richmond Charities, welcoming new residents from the age of 65.
