Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park

The Las Vegas Mormon Fort was established by Mormon missionaries in 1855 and is the site of the oldest non-native permanent structure in the Las Vegas Valley. Remnants of the original adobe fortification and irrigation features remain on site and have been interpreted as part of the state historic park. The fort marks the early settlement infrastructure that preceded the city's later development along the railroad and highways.
