Hall of Literary Brilliance

The Hall of Literary Brilliance, located in the Forbidden City in Beijing, China, is a historic structure that played a significant role during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Originally the residence of the heir apparent, it transformed into a venue for grand imperial lectures on Confucian classics and meetings between emperors and scholars. The hall was also pivotal for palace examinations, where papers were meticulously reviewed by nine readers. Notably, it was associated with the prestigious title of Grand Secretary of Wenhua Hall, making it a symbol of honor among high-ranking officials. From 2008 to 2017, it housed the Palace Museum's ceramics gallery, adding to its cultural significance.
