Fairfield (Berryville, Virginia)

Fairfield Farms is a historic estate near Berryville, Virginia, built in 1768 for Warner Washington, a cousin of George Washington. Designed by architect John Ariss, this Georgian-style house features a unique five-part complex made of native limestone. The estate includes a large barn and an overseer's house. Notably, George Washington contributed to the property's surveying. Fairfield Farms was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and offers a glimpse into colonial architecture and history.
