Kurono Castle

Kurono Castle, built in 1597 in Mino Province, Japan, is a historical site that reflects the tumultuous Sengoku and Edo periods. Constructed by Katō Sadayasu with stones provided by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the castle served various clans including the Saitō and Oda. Although it was demolished in 1610, visitors can explore the remnants of its moat, earthen walls, and foundation stones in the surrounding park, marked by a commemorative plaque.
