Indianapolis Motor Speedway 'Yard of Bricks' remnant

A one-yard-wide strip of the original 1909 brick paving remains at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's start/finish line, preserved as a historical remnant of the track's original surface. The IMS is a 2.5-mile oval in the town of Speedway and the brick strip is used for ceremonial winner celebrations.
