Pappenheimer Mansion

The Pappenheimer Mansion, originally built by furniture magnate Oscar Pappenheimer in the early 1900s, was a notable cultural hub in Atlanta, known for its exquisite music room that hosted chamber music concerts for over three decades. After serving as a family residence, it transitioned to a fraternity house and later became the Ponce de Leon Infirmary and Midtown Hospital, specializing in medical services until its closure in the late 1980s due to deteriorating conditions. The mansion was ultimately demolished in 1999, and the site is now home to the Marq on Ponce apartment complex.
