Wallcliffe House

Wallcliffe House is a historic two-storey homestead located near Prevelly, Western Australia, built between 1857 and 1865 in the Victorian-Georgian style. Constructed from local limestone and jarrah, it served as the centerpiece of the Bussell family's expansive estate. The homestead is notable for its connection to the Bussell family, particularly Grace Bussell, who heroically saved lives during the sinking of the SS Georgette in 1876. After changing hands several times, including a significant renovation in the late 1980s, the property was tragically destroyed by a bushfire in 2011. Today, it stands as a testament to the region's rich history and heritage.
