Houston Astrodome (NRG Park)

The Houston Astrodome, opened in 1965, was the world's first multi-purpose domed sports stadium and was nicknamed the "Eighth Wonder of the World." It served as home to the Houston Astros (Major League Baseball) and the Houston Oilers (AFL/NFL) and hosted sports, concerts, and large civic gatherings. The stadium is part of NRG Park and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2014.
