Dakin Building

The Dakin Building is an award-winning office structure located on the scenic San Francisco Bay in Brisbane, California. Built in 1986, it serves as a corporate headquarters for various prominent companies and is renowned for its unique architectural design, earning it the nickname 'Luke Skywalker building.' The building's construction was funded by the success of Garfield merchandise from the R. Dakin & Company. It has a rich history, including its role during the Glasnost period, facilitating U.S.-Russian relations. The building features a striking triangular design with a large glass atrium and offers stunning views of the bay and surrounding landmarks. Currently, it houses Sangamo Therapeutics and is part of a larger complex known as Marina Landing.
