Quietdale

Quietdale, also known as the Mrs. William Robinson House, is a historic residence located in Huntsville, Alabama, built in 1854 for Caroline Moore Robinson. This architectural gem marks a transition from Neoclassical styles to the eclectic designs that emerged in the late 19th century. The house features a distinctive rectangular main block, a two-story porch, and a rooftop deck, showcasing elegant octagonal columns and corbelled arches. Notable for its five large sash windows and unique servant quarters, Quietdale offers a glimpse into the architectural evolution of the era. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
