Universiade Pavilion

The Universiade Pavilion, affectionately known as the Butterdome, is a striking multi-purpose indoor arena located on the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton, Canada. Opened in 1983 for the Summer Universiade, this unique venue features a bright yellow exterior and can accommodate up to 5,500 spectators, with the ability to expand to 11,000 during major events. The Pavilion boasts a 200 m indoor track, multiple courts for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, as well as facilities for badminton, wrestling, and various indoor sports.
