Providence Gas Company Purifier House

The Providence Gas Company Purifier House is a historic four-story building located at 200 Allens Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. Constructed in 1900 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, it represents an early example of steel frame construction. Originally used for gasification of coal until around 1940, it later became the home of the City Tire Company until 2000. The building has since been rehabilitated for various uses and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in industrial history and architecture.
