United States Botanic Garden - National Mall conservatory

Established by an act of Congress in 1820, the United States Botanic Garden is one of the oldest botanic gardens in the Western Hemisphere and the only botanic garden located on the National Mall. Its Conservatory and outdoor National Garden display themed plant collections, including rare and endangered species, and the institution conducts public education and plant conservation programs. The garden occupies a prominent site adjacent to the Capitol and is operated by the Architect of the Capitol.
