Kraszewski House

The Kraszewski House is a historic neoclassical building located at 48 Mokotowska Street in Warsaw, Poland, constructed in 1860. Originally the residence of renowned writer Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, it served as a creative hub where he published notable works. The house has a rich history, having been owned by prominent figures such as businessperson Leopold Stanisław Kronenberg and physician Tytus Chałubiński. Surviving World War II with minimal damage, it became a cultural venue in 1957 and was added to the heritage list in 1965. The building features commemorative plaques honoring its former residents, making it a significant landmark for tourists and researchers interested in Polish literary and cultural history.
