E. A. Wildman & Co. Tobacco Warehouse

The E.A. Wildman & Co. Tobacco Warehouse, located at 34 Bridge Street in New Milford, Connecticut, is a historic building dating back to 1870. As the oldest surviving tobacco warehouse in the area, it played a significant role in New Milford's development as a major tobacco processing center, particularly for cigar wrapping tobacco. The structure features a unique blend of original construction and a rare rural packing barn section moved to the site in 1901. After serving the tobacco industry until around 1950, the warehouse has since been repurposed as a hotel, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers interested in industrial history and architecture.
