Waldomore

Waldomore is a historic Neo-Classical mansion located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978. Originally built in 1839 for prominent lawyer Waldo P. Goff, it now serves as a public library and repository for West Virginia's cultural materials, including the works of UFO writer Gray Barker. The mansion, named by combining the Goff and Moore family names, was donated to the city in 1930 with the stipulation it be used for public purposes. Visitors can explore its rich history, including connections to notable figures like Nathan Goff Jr., a former Secretary of the Navy, and enjoy resources for genealogical research.
