West Meade

West Meade is a historic mansion located in Nashville, Tennessee, built in 1886 for Howell Edmunds Jackson and his wife Mary Elizabeth. Nestled on a 2600-acre tract of land once part of the Belle Meade Plantation, the mansion showcases French Victorian architecture with its striking red brick exterior and elaborate porch. After the plantation's sale in 1906, the surrounding area was developed into a residential neighborhood named West Meade. The mansion, featuring 20 rooms and a ballroom, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a significant example of late 19th-century Victorian architecture in Nashville.
