Hillingdon House

Hillingdon House is a historic Grade II listed mansion located in Hillingdon, Greater London, originally built in 1717 as a hunting lodge for the Duke of Schomberg. After a fire destroyed the original structure, the current building was completed in 1844. The mansion has a rich military history, having served as a hospital during World War I and later as the headquarters for various RAF commands, including RAF Bomber Command. The estate features beautiful grounds with the River Pinn running through it and is adjacent to the Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex. Currently undergoing redevelopment, plans include converting the house into a restaurant, making it a potential future attraction for visitors interested in history and architecture.
