Memorial Student Center

The Memorial Student Center, located at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, serves as a vibrant hub for students and visitors alike. Named in honor of the 1970 Marshall football team who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash, the center features a university bookstore, diverse dining options, and spaces for student organizations. Throughout the year, it hosts a variety of events, including Herdcon, a comic and toy convention, and the Marshall University International Festival. A notable feature is the Memorial Student Center Fountain, designed by Harry Bertoia, which stands 13 feet tall and serves as a site for an annual memorial service in November to honor the crash victims.
