The Whitney (home of David Whitney Jr.)

The Whitney was built in 1894 as the residence of lumber baron David Whitney Jr. and stands as a preserved example of Detroit's Gilded Age residential architecture. Many original interior features have been retained, and the building now operates as a restaurant and event space open to the public. The mansion is located on Woodward Avenue near Midtown Detroit.
