Chateau Colline

Chateau Colline is a historic eight-unit apartment building located on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood, Los Angeles, California. Designed by architect Percy Parke Lewis and built in 1935, it features charming architectural elements such as leaded-glass windows, turrets, and climbing vines, resembling a castle. The building is notable for its large wood-burning fireplaces, handcrafted mantels, and vaulted ceilings. Rumored to have been home to Hollywood legends Clark Gable and Bette Davis, it has a rich history of lavish parties. In 2001, efforts led by tenants and the Los Angeles Conservancy successfully designated it as a historic landmark to prevent its demolition, and it was officially recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2001 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
