Mütter Museum's large human calculi

The Mütter Museum (The College of Physicians of Philadelphia) displays a collection of human calculi-kidney stones, bladder stones, gallstones, and other bodily concretions-some of which are unusually large. These specimens date largely from the 19th and early 20th centuries and are shown as part of the museum's medical history and pathology exhibits. The collection is used for public education about historical and clinical aspects of stone formation in the body.
