Barchmann Mansion

Barchmann Mansion, also known as Wedell Mansion, is a stunning Baroque-style town mansion located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, overlooking the picturesque Frederiksholm Canal. Built in the early 1740s by architect Philip de Lange for affluent owner Jacob Barchmann, the mansion has a rich history, having hosted Denmark's first freemason's lodge and various notable residents over the centuries. The building features a striking three-winged design with a mansard roof, adorned with sandstone pilasters and intricate decorations. Today, it houses Johan Borup's Folk High School and remains a significant architectural landmark, reflecting the grandeur of 18th-century Danish design.
