North Wales (Warrenton, Virginia)

North Wales is a historic plantation and national historic district located in Fauquier County, Virginia, near Warrenton. Spanning 1,287.9 acres, it features a Georgian-style stone manor house built between 1776 and 1796 by merchant William Allason. The estate has been a working plantation for six generations and showcases Georgian and Colonial Revival architecture across 38 contributing buildings. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, it offers a glimpse into Virginia's rich history and architecture. In 2014, the estate was sold for $21 million to David B. Ford, a former Goldman Sachs partner.
