Klyde Warren Park (deck over Woodall Rodgers Freeway)

Klyde Warren Park is a 5.2-acre public park that was constructed on a steel-and-concrete deck built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway and opened in 2012. The park physically reconnects the Dallas Arts District and Uptown, adding urban green space where the highway previously divided those neighborhoods. It includes a performance stage, reading room, children's playground, and regular public programming; its existence is a direct result of the engineered deck over the freeway.
