GLBT Historical Society Museum

The GLBT Historical Society Museum, located in the Castro, opened its dedicated exhibition space in 2011 to preserve and present the history of LGBTQ people, organizations, and events in San Francisco and beyond. The museum's collections include archives, photographs, ephemera, and rotating exhibitions that document political activism, nightlife, and community life. It functions as both a research archive and a public exhibition space for local LGBTQ cultural history.
