Morpeth House

Morpeth House is a historic large house located in Ipswich, England, notable for its unique features and rich history. Built by Charles Whitfield King, a successful stamp businessman, the house includes a fascinating Stamp Room adorned with over 44,000 stamps arranged in intricate mosaics, although only a portion remains today. The Billiard Room, originally housing a full-size snooker table, has been transformed into a 'Secret Garden' after the roof became irreparable. The property has seen various owners since its construction in 1887, including a dance school and multiple families. In 2014, it received a blue plaque from the Ipswich Society, honoring its founder and his contributions to the stamp industry. The grounds, filled with old trees, add to the charm of this historical site, making it an interesting visit for tourists and researchers alike.
