Dance House Helsinki, located in the Ruoholahti district, is a modern theatre dedicated to the art of dance. Its origins trace back to the 1930s, with significant development occurring in the 2010s, culminating in a grand opening planned for early 2022. The venue features two performance halls, including the 700-seat Erkko hall, and aims to host a variety of dance companies and events. The building, designed by JKMM and ILO Architects, boasts a total area of 5000 square meters and includes a restaurant and event space. With a total construction cost exceeding 40 million euros, Dance House Helsinki is set to become a cultural hub for dance enthusiasts and tourists alike.
