Tullamore Courthouse

Tullamore Courthouse, located in County Offaly, Ireland, is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture designed by John B. Keane and completed in 1833. The courthouse features a grand symmetrical facade with a striking hexastyle portico supported by Ionic columns. Originally serving as a judicial facility, it also became the meeting place for Offaly County Council after the 1898 Local Government Act. The building suffered significant damage during the Irish Civil War in 1922 but was rebuilt in 1925 by architect Thomas McNamara. Following extensive renovations in 2008, the courthouse remains a prominent historical site, reflecting the rich legal and civic heritage of the region.
