National Building

The National Building is a historic six-story warehouse located in downtown Seattle, Washington, originally constructed between 1904 and 1905 by the Northern Pacific Railway. Designed by architects Kingsley & Anderson, it features a striking dark red brick facade adorned with Ionic capitals and a cornice. Initially home to the National Grocery Company, the building has housed various small manufacturing and office firms over the years. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and designated a Seattle landmark in 1983. Today, it serves as an office space, including the Seattle Weekly, and stands as a testament to Seattle's rich architectural and commercial history.
