The Exorcist house (Georgetown film location)

The exterior of the Victorian residence at 3600 Prospect Street NW in Georgetown was used for exterior shots of the MacNeil house in the 1973 film The Exorcist. The steep nearby steps that descend toward the neighborhood are often referred to as the 'Exorcist steps' and are a common site for visitors to photograph the film location. The house and steps are privately owned and located within the Georgetown historic district.
