Seattle Center Monorail

Built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition (World's Fair), the Seattle Center Monorail runs on an elevated track connecting Seattle Center and Westlake Center in downtown Seattle. It continues to operate as a short urban transit line and is one of the few surviving pieces of infrastructure from the World's Fair era. The monorail is commonly mentioned in local stories about the fair and midcentury civic development.
