Hove Town Hall

Hove Town Hall, located in East Sussex, England, serves as the headquarters for Brighton and Hove City Council. The current Brutalist-style building, designed by John Wells-Thorpe, was completed in 1974, replacing the original 1882 Gothic town hall that was destroyed by fire in 1966. The original hall featured a grand great hall and a prominent clock tower, and it played various roles throughout its history, including serving as a cinema and a recruitment office during World War I. The new town hall has undergone extensions, including the addition of a Registrar's Office and a Tourist Information Centre, making it a central hub for civic activities and visitor information in the area.
