MaestraPeace mural at The Women's Building

MaestraPeace is a multi-panel mural painted on the exterior of The Women's Building in the Mission District and was completed in 1994. It was designed and painted by seven women artists: Juana Alicia, Miranda Bergman, Edythe Boone, Susan Kelk Cervantes, Meera Desai, Yvonne Littleton, and Irene Pérez. The mural celebrates women of diverse cultural backgrounds and is one of the most widely recognized public artworks in San Francisco.
