Bexar County Courthouse (Old Courthouse)

The Bexar County Courthouse, completed in the 1890s, is a red sandstone Romanesque Revival building that dominates a block near Main Plaza. Constructed during 1891–1896, it has served as the county's primary judicial building and remains an architectural landmark of late 19th-century civic design in San Antonio. The courthouse continues to house county offices and is a frequent subject in studies of Texas historic architecture.
