Galveston Textile Factory

UCO Galveston, a historic cotton spinning mill located in Ghent, Belgium, was established in 1910 and began production in 1912. Named after the Texas port town, it played a significant role in the local textile industry until its closure in 1999. The factory's architecture reflects Manchester-style design, featuring four layers and a flat roof. In 2002, parts of the building were designated as protected monuments, preserving its historical significance. Today, the site has been revitalized, housing various businesses, recreational facilities, and an event hall, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
