Snow Hill (Laurel, Maryland)

Snow Hill is a historic manor house located in Prince George's County, Maryland, built between 1799 and 1801. This Late Georgian style home features a distinctive gambrel roof, interior end chimneys, and elegant interior details, including elaborate cupboards. Originally the residence of Samuel Snowden, a notable figure in local ironworks, the house underwent restoration in 1940 and is now managed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission as a rental facility. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
