Kingsley Plantation (Fort George Island)

Kingsley Plantation preserves the early 19th-century plantation house and tabby slave quarters built under owner Zephaniah Kingsley. The site is part of the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve and is administered by the National Park Service. Its surviving slave dwellings and plantation landscape have long been the focus of local folklore and ghost-tour narratives that reference the lives of enslaved people and plantation families.
