Pennsylvania Governor's Residence

The Pennsylvania Governor's Residence, located in Harrisburg, is a neo-Georgian mansion built between 1966 and 1968, designed by architect George M. Ewing. Spanning 29,000 square feet, it features a striking seven-bay brick front and is equipped with two Steinway grand pianos for entertainment. The residence is known for hosting official functions and special holiday tours. However, it has faced challenges, including flooding from the nearby Susquehanna River and a significant arson attack in 2025. The residence is currently home to Governor Josh Shapiro and his family, who moved in in 2023 after a period of limited occupancy during the previous administration.
