Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site (Poe House)

The Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site preserves the rowhouse at 532–534 North 7th Street where Poe lived from 1843 to 1844. The building dates to the early 19th century and is interpreted as the author's Philadelphia residence, displaying period rooms and artifacts related to Poe's life and publishing activities in the city. The site documents residential urban infrastructure of the period and Poe's connection to Philadelphia's literary and printing networks. It is operated by the National Park Service and open for public tours.
