Kuching Old Courthouse

The Kuching Old Courthouse, located in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, is a historical landmark that served as the administrative center for the government of Sarawak from its completion in 1874 until 1973. Built under the direction of Rajah Charles Brooke, the courthouse features a distinctive architecture with four blocks and an iron wood roof. A clock tower was added in 1883, and a memorial for Charles Brooke was erected in 1924. In 2003, the building was transformed into the Sarawak Tourism Complex, which now includes a restaurant and showcases family heirlooms from the Brooke family, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
