Niavaran Complex

The Niavaran Palace Complex, located in northern Tehran, Iran, is a historic site featuring several palatial buildings from the Qajar and Pahlavi eras. Constructed during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah, the main palace was completed in 1967 and served as a residence for the Shah and his family, as well as a venue for state functions, including a notable banquet for U.S. President Jimmy Carter in 1977. The complex also houses a private library inaugurated in 1994, showcasing modern Iranian art and literature.
